Born 1964 in Forli, Italy. From 1971 to 1981 he studied violin and viola (with
A. Casagrande) and composition (with M. Perrucci) at the musical Institute
"G.B.Pergolesi" in Ancona and at the musical highschool Conservatorio
"G.Rossini" in Pesaro. Later he joined the Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana and
played with various chambre orchestras, ensembles for early music, baroque and
contemporary music.
In 1982 he founded in Innsbruck with P. Rabanser the
international early music ensemble Oni Wytars
and he is still performing with this group.
In 1989 he worked for the Royal
Swedish Concert Agency.
Since 1990 he is a soloist in the famous Clemencic
Consort , Vienna.
Since 1991 he is the artistic director of the Studio
Katharco
- sound:creations.
In 1992 he wrote the textbook for early music
"Einführung in die mittelalterliche Musik".
In 1993 he performed as fidel
& nyckelharpa soloist for the Clemencic Consort in the theatre "alla SCALA",
in Milan.
Since 1993, together with Carlo Rizzo, Valentin Clastrier and
Michael Riessler, he made several Jazz concerts and records. He was chosen by
the german network SWF as new-comer & composer for the New Jazz Meeting
1993.
In 1994 he work as nyckelharpa-soloist for baroque music with ensemble
LAD for the Philarmony of Moscow (Russia). He composed the music for the
musical-theatrical staging "Kaiserkrönung" on the occasion of the
1200-year-celebration of Frankfurt;
In 1995 he composed & recorded the
music for the musical-theatrical staging "La Divina Commedia".
In 1996 he
was chosen as soloist & composer by the Swedish Radio for the Jazz Nordic
Meeting.
In 1997 he was musical director of the Renaissance-Fest in the
castle of Lemgo, Germany. He compose & record for the Alte Oper in Frankfurt
with the german percussionist Katharina
Dustmann the music of "Il ritorno di Marco Polo" ("The
retourn of Marco Polo")
1999 he compose "Zwischen Himmel und Hölle",
premiere: sept. 1999, Maschinenhalle Zweckel, Gladbeck, Germany

television- and over 70 CD-productions as soloist, composer or member of the
Katharco Early Music Consort and ensemble Oni Wytars (Austria/Germany), Els
Trobadors (Spain), ensemble Unicorn, ensemble Accentus, Clemencic Consort &
Armonico Tributo Austria, Ensemble Kapsberger (Rolf Lislevand-Norwey) & Michael
Riessler.
